How We Started
Purpose Contracting Group was founded from years of hands-on experience renovating homes, managing construction projects, and solving real problems for homeowners. What began as personal renovation projects quickly evolved into a passion for quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and doing things the right way for others.
After completing dozens of renovations, flips, and rental property projects, Grant and Tyler recognized a growing need for a contractor homeowners could trust. One who values transparency, planning, and pride in execution. Purpose Contracting Group was built to fill that gap.
Today, we provide full-service residential remodeling and general contracting throughout the Charlotte and Lake Norman area, helping homeowners improve, restore, and reimagine their spaces, with purpose.

Born and raised in Statesville, NC, Tyler attended UNC-Charlotte, where his passion for real estate first took root. While in college, he began working as a project manager for a local property management company — an experience that sparked his love for renovation and bringing homes back to life. Today, as an experienced rehabber and project manager with over 700+ property renovations under his belt, Tyler continues to pursue his passion by helping others bring their remodeling dreams to life and fulfill their home’s true potential. He leads our company in project success, estimating, planning and operational management with integrity and dedication in every customer experience.
Grant Zaharis

After Graduating from UNC-Charlotte in 2016, Grant spent his early career in Biotech Sales while finding a passion for real estate. He has lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Indiana, and North Carolina and has diverse, real-world experience that helps him understand different real estate markets and trends that add value to every client interaction. He has led our real estate investment division since 2019 and now as a licensed Realtor, he hopes to continue helping others buy, sell, and renovating their home. Grant leads our business development, sales, and marketing division to reach other homeowners looking for a guiding hand on their next project.
